We work closely with employers and managers so as to reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, and improve productivity. The following approach is recommended:

  • Employees with poor attendance or reduced performance at work will be referred for a consultation with the Occupational Physician. A Referral Form to be e-mailed to . A report will be submitted to the referring Manager following the OH Consultation.
  • Case Conferences will be held with Managers to discuss specific employees or general health issues impacting on work

Other services available

  • Stress Audits and Stress Risk Assessments: we can carry out a survey of specific workplaces or departments and feed back to the employer about causes and triggers of psychological stress
  • Health Surveillance of employees exposed to Noise, Lead, Asbestos and Hazardous Chemicals in the working environment

We can offer training to Human Resource Managers and Line Managers on specific areas including the following:

  • Managing sickness absence and attendance, the role of Occupational Health in supporting Managers and HR
  • Well Being at work: addressing “Psychological Well Being” and going beyond Well-Person clinics which only touch on physical health
  • Measuring Employee Engagement and recommending actionable interventions to improve engagement
  • Organizational Health: moving from a “deficit” problem-solving approach to an “abundance” model to enable the organization and its people to achieve their highest potential
